I must admit growing up as a kid, my parents were very particular about clothing. I remember having a selection of boots, dungarees, hats, adorable dresses and accessories to pair with. They want us to look beautiful. My sister and I were taught to dress nicely, appropriately and accordingly! (depends on the occasions) It is obvious that they're the main influence that we became so stylish. Dressing up has been my favourite pastime ever since I was little. My love towards fashion and styling grew throughout my childhood years. Here are some pictures I've compiled as an appreciation to my handsome, gorgeous and stylish parents.

Dad

My dad has always been the stylish one in the family. Just by looking at his old photos, you can tell that he puts much effort in the way he dresses. He used to tell me stories about the clothes that he bought and the things that he did to make his hair look perfect. Among his siblings, my dad is the brightest. He was a prefect in school, a science student and a math genius. I look up to my dad a lot especially when it comes to education and he's the reason why I'm passionate about learning. I notice in most pictures, he prefers to wear denim. Over the years, he has passes on most of his clothes to my younger sister with a note saying,

flaunt it like me.

Mom

Moving on to my mother. Ever since high school, she has always been the popular girl and an overachiever.

Everyone I knew admires her (a lot). She used to tell me stories about her brilliant dance performance back when she was still doing her Diploma, and a whole bunch of plays she was involved in, not to mention her crazy dorm mates. My mother also told me how much she enjoyed her student life back in the 80's. Let's just say that my mom was pretty active in her teen years and I have always admired her for her extraordinary talent. I definitely think I've inherited that creative and totally unique side of her.

As I grow older, my style changes with me and I've grown to treasure the things my parents did for me. I can now make my own decisions, shop for myself and it's because of them. I'm certainly blessed to have such inspiring guardians. They have given me plenty of opportunities to accomplish my dreams. Without them, Erin won't be who she is today. I want to thank mom and dad for believing in me, for giving me the freedom to do what I love and for your endless support. I hope I've made you proud.

Thank you, again for being so amazing. This is my love to you.

Till then. Auf Wiedersehen!
